Forgive my ignorance/newbieness, but what software and/or plugins do you all use these with?

I recorded a few wavs with my Behringer V-Amp 2 DI with cab simulation off, then ran the wavs through WaveLab with the keFIR plugin to experiment with sounds. They sounded different from the V-Amp 2 cab simulation, but I wouldn't say "better."

Is there something I should use instead of keFIR? I haven't tried enough different V-Amp 2 settings yet, but I thought I'd ask a dumb question before wasting a lot of time.

KeFIR works great for me, I guess the only thing to make sure of is that you have the mix set to 100% in it...

Thanks man. I just chose it because it was free and was staring me in the face and I'm glad that somebody else uses it and has success with it. I hate spending weeks or months perfecting a tool, only to find out that everybody in the world but me knows that tool is total crap.

I guess I just need to experiment with V-Amp 2 presets. The ones I've experimented with so far are the exact ones I have always used, but with cab simulation off. I'm sure I have to start from scratch with gain, EQ and effects to match the new cab sims.

The recorded sweeps didn't have the silence at the end... I've just added it...
The recorded tone have to be longer than the test tone...

I tried adding a second long silence at the end and I still ended up with weirdness.

Well now that these are done I will see about getting some better ones. Also some bass amp ones as well (cause WTF there are very few of those floating around).
