Anybody have recorded clips/mixes of the Splawn Nitro?

Quickrod records better believe it or not. Been using one for years. The Nitro has too much gain and too much low end. Quickrod can be run just as hard if not harder with a TS by simply controlling the mid control. LOVES a Mesa OS cab.

I'm actually looking at getting a 50w Super Comp, which is the single channel version of the Nitro. Splawn does make a Pro Stock 50w too, which is a single channel Quick Rod. I'll have to find some good comparisons since I'm not able to check these amplifiers out myself. I'm planning on getting an amplifier to compliment a 5150 III 50w for recording and have a semi-Marshall sounding amplifier around. I've read that the Quick Rod has less gain, which might be more usable for lighter rock recordings. I'll definitely look more into the Quick Rod before making a decision, but for now, I'm still enjoying the Nitro clips I've been finding. If anybody has Quick Rod clips for comparison's sake, feel free to post them too. These Splawns sound unbelievably good and are a blast to listen to!

It definitely does NOT have less gain. It bubbles like crazy with the gain all the way up. That's just a marketing ploy to get metal guys in on the nitro. It's a great solid amp and it's stayed with me because clients drool over it every single time! :) I can agree with a single channel version though, but gear two and gear three on the Quickrod really are different so it's your call there. No matter what you'll be happy!
