Is there anybody who is interested in the second stage or am I the only one. Seems to me there is a big divide here. Maybe the day should start early and all the bands should play the main stage. It would be good to mix the old with the new!

I am dying to see return to sabbat, and I was gutted to hear that the capacity for the second stage is so small because I fear we will have to get in early to see sabbat, and in doing so miss a band on the main stage. Apart from that, sorry but I have never heard of any of the other bands on that stage and after napstering some songs from them I feel I will be in the main room for the majority of the day.

Mmmmmm seems like the gap within metal is widening even more methinks.
It seems like the majority of people coming to this show are going to be out and out metallers and I am afraid that the NEW shall we say for arguments sake full on bands are going to get shunned by the old school.

I agree yet disagree, i like a lot of new metal, just none of the bands on the second stage! Give me linkin park or the deftones anyday! Spineshank are ok too! I have to say though, arnt evoke a bit out of date? I mean you can hardly call that style new! Im up for anything though, while blaze and glen hughes are on i will pop into the second stage for a nose, and maybe a mosh.

The band I bought the tickets for was Sabbat. As I've said elsewhere on this forum, they were/are one of my favouritist ever bands, and I missed them first time round, so if it comes to it, I will be glued to the second stage until they play. But having said that, I am really looking forward to checking out as many bands as possible, on both stages, old or new, whatever category they come under. It is a shame Midnight Configuration aren't playing any more, because what I have heard of their stuff was good, but I expect that there will be other bands who are just as good.
I'm not a big NWoBHM fan, or of 'power' metal, but I am open minded, and won't dismiss them til I've tried 'em live.
I hope there will be others there too that will give the bands they haven't heard before a go (although not too many, cos I want to get in to see Sabbat!).

Fair play Zeb I hope everybody that turns up has your attitude.
See ya down the front for Sabbat!!!!

The main reason me and my mates are going is to see Freebase and occupational hazard. Dont know many of the rest of them except Blaze. The second stage bands will be far more energetic and agressive and focus on their complete performances. I am hoping that the occupational hazard boys bring their stage projection, then you will see how the 'young lads' do their stuff. I don't want bloodstock to be known as 'the old school' festival. I want it to be known as the 'British metal festival'. Full respect to the Bloodstock team.

As a member of Bloodstream (the first band on the 2nd stage) it would pain me to be playing to a group of people who were only interested in the bands they know or to people who come down with us.

We have worked hard getting a new line up tight enough to play and, being the first band on, don't expect an Iron Maiden type ovation but would appreciate a little support for our efforts.

I know there are a lot of DAMN GOOD bands on all day....just pop through for 10 minutes and laugh at us a bit!

But, that aside, we are looking forward to this being a first class event and making some new mates in the process.

All the bands deserve full respect (especially the MIGHTY Sabbat!)

See you there!!

I'm just happy there's a decent Metal Fest in this country at last! I'm going primarily for Skyclad and R2TS but I shall enjoy seeing all the other bands too! Give the whole Festival your support!

Orange Goblin are Headlining the 2nd Stage I think, That's good enough for me!

R2TS YESSSSS!!!!
Consumed yess
Occupational Hazard yes
and at the risk of pissing off a (large) number of people on this noticeboard off
Orange Goblin because they sound better than Saxon - I've just never been a fan (but if OG finish and Saxon are still playing then ...)
In my defence I'm going for R2TS and Skyclad the rest is just icing on one of the bestest (metal) cakes ever - hope my english teachers not reading this.
The others I don't know enough about yet - time to do some compare and contrast on various bands websites

Orange Goblin in better than Saxon shock!

Yeah, I'll go along with that.. (Sorry Saxon fans.)

:p
