Welcome! I'm in Peoria, but my sister lives in Chicago. Yeah, it seems the Windy City loves its jazz and blues, but pretty much ignores metal. Of course I love the 5am bar scene.

Peoria is a 3 hour drive or so from here? There's some metal bar in Mokena near the Pearl Room, I think.

Hey There! I too am from the burbs of the windy city! The two main hangouts for me are Exit and the Cobra Lounge. There is a restaurant called Kuma's Corner that has their dishes named after metal bands. The place is pretty cool.
