and the game sucked for single player.

i think blizzard did GOOD use of copy protection with this game, sadly they over did it with everything else.

brood war is really fun hands down...just be careful on the cracks, alot of trojan's and crap.

I haven't played SC or brood war in a few years, every few months I keep saying, "that's it! I'm reinstalling!" and then forget... but I just finished up FEAR and don't have any games to play at the moment, I think I'll reinstall it tonight to see how rusty I am

Civ 4 looks great, i have civ 2 and 3, but my comp sux too much for 4

you don't need a uber comp to play civ 4. The developpers got too lazy at testing the game and it doesn't work well with a lot of video cards (ati or nvidia). They released a patch to correct the situation. The overall stability of the game improved but there are still some problems to solve. My older comp was able to run civ4 w/o any problem and my brand new laptop can't (well yes now it can thx to the patch, but it's pretty slow)

"you don't need a uber comp to play civ 4" you are right you don't, but my comp is a few hundred mhz under the required amount, plus my video card is shitty and no games work with it.
the specs:
1.4ghz P4
nvidia TNT2 32MB

i'm sure the game won't run. but its all good i got a ton of other games to play through first. civ games take weeks to satisfy my cravings.

sucks that you don't have the specs. Unlike most idiots on the internet, I'm not gonna tell you "well buy a new comp it's pretty simple" cause I know those things are pretty fucking expensive and we got more important things to buy first ( like cds for instance )
