If you are unfamiliar with logic, then I'll put it this way. People not liking the band has nothing to do with the character of the band or those who do like it. Your claim is baseless.

Actually, you are guilty of making a fallacious statement yourself here. You claim that there is no correlation whatsoever ("...has nothing to do with"...) between the character of people, and the qualities that they value positively or negatively in music. I beg to differ: since the the value that individual people attach to specific qualities (quality in its neutral sense) in music, depends on their personal preferences, which are a consequence of their "character", there definitely is a connection. You are however right in saying that there is not much reason in basing an idea of a band on the character interpreted from one internet post of one random person that dislikes said band. You are wrong in the oversimplified and generalised way you expressed this idea. Obviously this too is a rather pointless comment, but since you yourself somehow found the initial "fallacy" (which to me looks like it was made in a joking mood, and thus not worthwile to seriously comment on concerning its logical accuracy) faulty enough to seriously comment on, I found it worthwile enough to post this to correct your own fallacious logic, since I attach negative value to the quality of hypocrisy.

He is a lot like Alice Cooper - who was and is a very intelligent person. However, Manson doesn't know how to turn off the persona when he's not on stage. I think he would win over a lot more people if he was just some normal everyday guy who turned into a sideshow freak while on stage. As it turns out - he's a freak all the time.

I don't understand how Manson gets so many gorgeous women. Who looks at him and says "I want to have sexual intercourse with that man"? It can't just be because he's famous... He must look a hell of a lot better without his make-up on or else there's something very odd about these girls' tastes.

Don't get me wrong, I gave MM a chance, but I just didn't like him. He was like a freaky pair of shoes. You know they aren't your style, but you got to try them on anyway. Nope, not for me...

I'm not crying, you projected it. I'm well aware that I won't change everyone's point of view regarding Marilyn Manson, especially in a metal community.

This is not the place to debate whether or not MM is a great artist. If you're still willing to do so, we can do this on MSN, if want.
