If so, what kind and do you have any reccomendations: urls, mp3s, etc.

Cheers.

I like some techno and some trance.

Check out these mp3s:

Ulver - Of Wolves & Vibrancy
...and Oceans - New Model World
Trance Control - Distorted Minds (mp3.com/tc)

PPK-Resurrection

'Kin Tune, can't get it outta my head.
Anyone speak Russian, I'd love to know what the gezzer say's at the end?

:D

Yes, that would be me. Although trance is my favorite, do you include Intelligent Dance Music as techno?

...and Oceans - New Model World

Yes, that would be the worst techno i've ever heard. Its an insult to the techno scene, probably as it was intended to be :goggly:

I listen to a lot of trance. I reccomend the following:

Paul Van Dyk - Out There and Back

DJ Tiesto - In My Memory

ATB - Movin' Melodies

Faithless - Outrospective

Christopher Lawrence - United States of Trance

My techno/trance tastes aren't as evolved as my death/black metal tastes, so this is as much help as I can be on the subject.

Outrospective is definitely not Trance

But neway, techno (hardcore - I have a bit):
ultraviolence
sleep deprivation - about as hard as it gets
Then various dance that is cool:
Faithless
PPK
VNV nation
Gary Numan
(quite a few of the euphoria comilations are good)
Leftfield
Depending on whether you consider EBM dance:
Wolfsheim,
Beton Benon,
Mesh
Abd:
Big Bud
Delerium
Electronic
Sneaker Pimps
Moby

i'll have to agree with that. it doesn't compare to great groups like So solid crew and destinys child! thats hardcore music mate! its true music. not like your crappy spice girls.

Transparent... the Spice Girls are cool..! GIRL POWER! Oh hell yeah..!

:err:

I think Im coming down with something..!

The only "electronic" music I still listen to is drum & bass stuff like Springheel Jack, Photek, and some Aphex Twin. It has to have jazz-like drums, not repetitive dance/trance grooves.
