Anyway, I think if you actually plan to sit and watch BB, you need to get a life. To actually give a flying fuck about what some random assholes do in a house for a few weeks out of boredome is...unexplainably lame.

When people insult Big Brother I always bring up Zimbardo's prison experiment. In this experiment volunteers were assigned the role of either prisoner or guard in a prison simulation task. Zimbardo found out a great deal out about how people behave in social situations. Big Brother is interesting to watch for similar reasons including how the housemates cope with constant surveilance, the other housemates and provocation from Big Brother. It is also interesting to note how the normal characters handle the freaks.
