Anyone into street racing?

:Smokin: Is anyone into the street racing scene and the cars? Not to make waves, I know this is a METAL site/board and this question may not really "fit" the subject matter usually posted here. I also know that the "scene" of street racing involves hip hop and nu metal when it comes to the choice of music you hear blasting form the cars, but I dig the rides, fuck the rest of it. Let me know and if I offended anyone or I get a few "what the fuck man!!! This is a site about REAL shit" then I apologize ahead of time. I think it'd be cool to drag with Thrax about to blow my 12's while the "competition" is blasting some hip hop flavor of the day tune.

I don't street race, but I drag race at a track. Well, last year I did. this year I'm going to concentrate on autocrossing. Think it would be much much more fun. Just the 2 times I've gone already. I usually blast either Slipknot "I Am Hated", Anthrax "Fueled" or some other random metal song. My car is soon to be lowered. I have a really good system that will be setup to rap (once my amp that's going to power my subs gets here) but I'll only play metal. My friend is kinda pissed at me cause he knows I'll only play metal and that the closest rap he will hear will be the Bones cd from Cypress Hill or Bring The Noise.

i aint really into street racing but i respect the way they they set there cars up and the crazy amounts of monet they waste on it lol.

in australia we have a v8 supercar series which is in a ford versus holden set up,makes for great racing!!!!

fords just cant seem to get a look in,holdens are far to superior.

i did see in the indy 300 in australia last october

Street racing, along with American muscle cars and rock'n'roll, was around long before this recent wimpy Honda, Vin Diesel XXX, wannabe Italian scene came along.

Strap on your old school if you're going to race. Take the the Japanese cars and rap out of it.

I wish I had a muscle car. I have a 92 Saturn (yes, it's a friggin' sat) but it's odd, it's not a rice. Plus, my car, when I mod it, it's going to look like it was supposed to. I'm not going to big ass fin on the back cause "my car is like, so fast it needs it" cause that's bull. Not going to paint it messed up colors, just the original paint. Going to repaint it, but same color actually. Clear coat is starting to wear out. I think a car that's fast looks better when it looks like a normal street car. I'll get a turbo for it sometime soon.
