I just discovered some band today called 65 Days Of Static. This music is very intriguing, up-beat and fast post-rock. I strongly recommend them to everyone.

They are one of my favorite bands. The Fall of Math and One Time for All Time are both great albums. Some other bands that are worth looking into in the Post-Rock genre are (some of these may have been mentioned already): Upcdowncleftcrightcabc+Start, A Silver Mt. Zion, The Samuel Jackson Five, This Will Destroy You, DestroyAllDreamers, Mono, This is Your Captain Speaking, and Yndi Halda (Yndi Halda is really, really good). Those are just some of my favorite post-rock bands.

P.S Metal and Post-Rock are my two favorite genres of music.

God Is An Astronaut
Meanwhile, Back In Communist Russia
Russian Circles
Day For Airstrikes
The Timeout Drawer

All awesome.

Meanwhile, Back in Communist Russia
The Samuel Jackson Five
Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies
Slint
September Malevolance

'post rock', what a stupid genre name. technically, it can't exist, what with 'post' anything meaning after. can't have 'post rock' until rock's done with, and that aint gonna happen is it!

Yes! I'm a huge post rock fan, I always hated metal but then I tried Bossk, and they were the perfect gateway band for me. Starts off like a nice post rock track, and didn't scare me away (but drawed me in to the louder parts).

And happy to see someone posted about Yndi Halda, their ep/album is my favourite record of any genre! Amazing stuff.
