anyone seeing ANGRA?

Man, I wish I was. I'll be out of town at a wedding in Baltimore. What are the chances that the ONE weekend a band like Angra decides to play its first show in NYC and I'm not there. GRRRR. Anyone who does go, say hello to the boys for me.

Im going to see Angra in NY... I'm the CRAZY BRAZILIAN from progpower (the one with the flag... lol)....
Hopefully I'll see you guys there.... =)

Jay..from what I hear, they often cover Maiden during their encore

Cool! I actually think the ProgPower event finishing with a Maiden cover just about summed up the glory of it all.

Hope Iced Earth do their cover of Transylvania next year, heh.

Since there's been so little press, (although look for Jeff Pizak's stuff in the "Daily Herald" tomorrow if you live in Chicago burbs) I thought I'd mention that Angra is playing at the "Rockhouse" on Sunday. There's 4 bands total, including Ion Vein and Onward, who both played at ProgPower 1.0 (and rule!).

Be there... or miss a great show.

I'm seeing Angra tomorrow at the Flying Machine in Lorrain, OH. Driving in from Detroit. My ticket says Angra * Onward. Does anyone know - is Angra considered the headliner? I certainly hope so!

Also, will they be likely to play the same set as Prog Power, or do they change theirs up a lot? I'm trying to learn some more songs in time. :)

Hi guys, it's Babs! Wanted to let you guys know that last week when Angra was playing Progpower I sat next to these two girls that are in a band called Twilight Odyssey. They were scheduled to open for Angra in NYC on the 22nd. I sent an email asking how the show went and one of the band members said the evening was great. That they went on right before Angra and the show was really good.

Thought I'd pass that along! And if anyone should see Edu and gang, tell Edu that Babs (the cute, short girl from the Granada) says hello and is willing to learn to speak Portuguese (big laugh).
