I work in a university, and I have a buddy who teaches a course in movie interpretation, the local cinema gives away TONNES of free tickets to advance screenings of movies so they can get feedback on movies to see if they are worth getting in for a run...mainly arty ones, but I've managed to get in to see alot of movies for free pretending to be him
Nightwatch was great and I just got a hold of Daywatch w/english subs so I'll be watching that as soon as my friend gets back from Europe (he's an avid fan of the series).
Source material argument doesn't mean much since I'm not familiar with the novel. I believe I've read that Day Watch doesn't have the zazzed up hardcoded subs so it's already got something against it there. Also I seem to recall the reviews saying it's even more focused on being flashy with effects than the first, that just might be too much.
a friend of mine swears that i recommended a movie called Nightwatch, about killer bats, to her and i have no idea what she's talking about. the debate rages on to this day.
