Well, if you're not in IT or have an interest in technology, I suspect you'll use the browser that comes with your OS. That said, I agree that IE is the biggest piece of shit browser available.
I dunno, most non-techie people I meet use opera or firefox as well. They just don't know the plugins. But europe has like a much higher rate of using non-IE browsers
i use mostly IE as I have to test the websites we work on it first and foremost and tbh I never had problems with stolen passwords, hacks, etc. and I am online all the time.
then again, I don't go to gaming forums, or shady places either ... and I use Safari for porn
As many holes as there are in it, the only reason I even mentioned it was because this particular security issue seemed to be a cut above the normal warnings that get posted out there, that's all. Ironically, I just received the Windows Update with the IE security patch to fix the problem as well (though I'm sure it isn't adequate on many levels).
