They do have a lot of the same words, but they don't sound alike. When I first started learning Italian I always had trouble figuring out which was Italian and which was Spanish, when listening to people talk. It's true, if you know one of those languages you can understand (Spanish and Italian), but Portuguese has such a different pronunciation that it's really hard. At least for me. But yeah the reading is easy to understand.

So which team do you support?
