Anyone here use AOL? If so, do you too get disconnected at all times of the day, three or four times an hour? And slow, too! How did these guys ever make it big??

Mum has started using it (still on the free two months at the moment, or something) but as soon as that time has run out I'm getting a *decent* ISP once again. Any suggestions of good ISPs that are a) a good price, and b) don't have volume charging?

I've heard that iprimus has a lot of disconnections as well. Have you experienced this? I don't know what "a lot" is in this case, but surely can't be as bad as AOL!

No, its happened a few times, but not very often at all, probably once or twice a month :)

Ive never ever gotten a busy signal!

Watch, now ill have drop outs and busy signals for the next month

Just looking at their website - they have the Infinity Metro, and the Bonus Infinity, which basically gives you a free month at the start... but why would anyone go with the Infinity Metro if you could go with the Bonus one and get extra? Why bother selling the Infinity Metro?

Might look into going with them. No reason for continuing to using AOL if I don't have to pay for it until the two-month thing runs out, right?

I dont know, I just paid for a year outright, I think it was a bonus plan, im not sure :)

Think I might do that anyway, although might not be wise if they turn out to be rotten. Wouldn't be the first time we'd disagreed on something! :)

My parent were on AOL and left for that very reason as well as they could not access a lot of things either. I used to be on iprimus myself for 9mths overall the service was just good. However i did encounter busy signals a lot as well as dropping out every now and then.

Go cable I love cable!

I just had cable, but can't justify the cost anymore now that Mr Mark has left the building (seeing as he used it for work all day). Back to the world of modems now!

Well, I'm with Iprimus now - much faster! No dropouts yet (only been connected for about 10 minutes) but for some reason I can't connect to their website now... odd.
