should it be "who the fuck are arcade fire?" this is a bit confusing as its a singular group, but its made of multiple individuals, so should it be pluralized or not? where our grammar professors be at?!

Technically, no it should not be plural.

Well, seeing as I don't know if the arcade fire in question is a group, or a single person, keeping it singular is better. If you do know that the subject is a group, both 'is' and 'are' are correct. In this case, 'are' would be preferred however.
