ARCH / MATHEOS U.S. Appearance

So maybe this is a naive question...but why there? It would be like them playing only one show....at the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque. It's just weird to me. New York or Los Angeles.....or maybe ATLANTA (on a Wednesday or Thursday night...I'm just sayin.... :)? But much like here....what's in Hartford CT? I ask that genuinely curious! I mean, Helloween and Gamma Ray played Camel Rock Casino outside of Santa Fe in the middle of the week, so there was like a hundred of us there. It was just sad for two bands that pull in huge audiences outside the US. If they'd done Sunshine Theater it MIGHT have sold out....but its not a big venue. Just wondering if anyone has any insight on stuff like that?

Aren't they from that area?

It's a hometown gig for them.

Even though I still haven't heard that album, I would go to this show since it's 40 min away from home (in fact, I'll be at the Webster tomorrow night for SX/Iced Earth). However, with the baby being just a few weeks old by then, I'm pretty sure I won't make it. Hope everyone enjoys it! :)

Arch lives up there and I think he has a furniture buisness that he owns/runs that is very mom and pop that would make it hard for him to do a show far away
and also
most of the die hard Arch era fans live in that area as they were up until No Exit they were mostly a regional act
makes a ton of sense

Get the album, dude. It's one of the best releases of 2011.

How accessible is this venue? Is there decent seating available or is it SRO? I'm moving around with a cane these days, so my days of standing at the front rail are behind me....

There are few seats/tables around the bar area. It's not the closest to the stage (the Webster is not a small venue, fits about 1200), but you can still get a great view.
