Didn't read the whole thing (got bored). but for a decent non-skip cd player, you can get at least a 256mb mp3 player. as long as you're willing to take time to transfer songs (same amount of time as burning cd's constantly), then it's no loss. I bought a 256mb player with a slot for up to a 2Gb sd card for $40 a year ago, so you might as well get an mp3 player.

Sadly I'm no longer capable of getting high in social situations.
I could go through several blunts and massive bong hits but I usually wont feel anything from it unless I'm by myself listening to music, watching a movie, or trolling up the interwebs in which case I get high right away. I'll try quitting for the month of April that should help. I'll probably take a small amount of shrooms or bars before I see you guys otherwise I'll just be nervous as hell. Although Will was really laid back when I met him.But any stupidity you might have is no match for my my inability to divide four digit numbers, complete incomprehension of anything math or science related, uncanny ability to get lost when driving aimlessly more than 20 minutes from my house and inability to reach a destination via map.

anyway i got a Zune 30gb for $185, its got a bigger screen than most mp3's and can fit atleast 40 full length movies and i don't know how many songs...

My friend has the same thing. It's not bad actually, not as small as the ipod of course but it has a nice size screen.
Laura - Yes you can take music from burnt discs and rip them to your computer and transfer them to your mp3 player, i wasn't sure if anyone answered that question.
there are some at my store for like $15 ... capacity of only 120-150 songs (don't remember which) but i'd only really use it at the gym so that's cool with me. got my membership today, too. bummed out that i don't get an employee discount on electronics, but it's cool regardless. i'll probobly buy one on friday after i get my check

dont judge capacity by how many songs. judge it by space. remember, those are rated by AVERAGE SONGS... like 3-minuters, which take up like 4 or 5 mb. our average 6 - 8 minutes will take up even MORE space... so cut that in half.

also depending on the quality of the file.
i don't recommend FLAC format cause you are getting like..nearly half a gig for 1 album
