To be entirely fair, they've grown a LOT as a band since Matt left, he pretty much left just as they got really big which sucks for him... He's a really ncie guy...
Personally I'm not really into the whole "shouty screaming" kinda thing. I'd rather have full on gritty screaming than sort of weird shrieky shouty stuff, but that's just me.
Every show I ever saw them play with the old vocalist was insane, but then again they were all home town shows...
Having since seen them 6 or 7 times with Sam, one time on the Never Say Die tour, I personally found their whole set to but just a little bit more dull tbh. Although I'd definately have to say that it was far better rehearsed and performed... Just not my kinda thing!
Really wish I could get into this album, because the production is awesome, as well as the playing. Alas, I am too fussy

hh fair enough, when my old band played with them, they were all preety static and didnt seem like they cared at all about playing, and just wanted to get their set done

I know they definitely had a Diezel with them while recording. Really sounds like channel 4 on a VH4 to me. Obviously if you know otherwise, then Im obviously wrong! haha
i actually prefer the tone of ruin / ESPECIALLY the split.
the split they did with dead swans had the best production..
I bumped into their guitarist a few months ago and his heads up was 5150 without tubescreamer, "never use tube screamer in studio" exact words i beleive.
Saw their singer sam jump on stage with your demise at a show i played on sunday. He is one ANGRY man.

Also, I reckon Outhouse can be a bit hit and miss.

These guys recorded there about a week or two ago and I don't think the production came all that up to scratch in comparison.. just my opinion though.
I do like the drum and bass sounds that outhouse get though, for DAMN sure

Just sounds like a bunch of screaming and loud guitars to me. Why is the singer so angry? He needs a hair cut?

I fucking love this guys clean vocals... the best track on the new BMTH is incredible and largely due to his guest vocal.

What self respecting wannabe producer / engineer wouldn't post on here
I think they had to bring their own amp, which i am not certain but live it's been an orange of some description.
I think the tone grates me cus its saturated (post cab) and thats cool, but theres such little punch on the actual preamp sound, i think its down to those EMGHZ that jacks using >;/
Pretty sure the 'tects guitars are just 5150, it doesnt have that clang i usually associate with TS, but thats my opinoin. I think theres a bunch of studio vids on youtube. Just looked like a standard marshall 4x12 to me in passing, but i cant really remember, haven't watched them in months!
