Australia’s Blunt Magazine is reporting that AC/DC fans are bracing for what could be the biggest homecoming in Australian rock history, as speculation builds around the announcement of a long-awaited Australian leg of the band’s Power Up world tour.
The latest wave of rumours suggests AC/DC could hit the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for two massive nights in November – specifically the 12th and 16th – according to a source’s report to 3AW’s Rumour File. Meanwhile, Herald Sun has also reported that industry chatter points to AC/DC playing Australian shows in late November or early December, though nothing official has surfaced yet.
The band’s official website remains quiet, but the whispers are growing louder. AC/DC are currently storming through the European leg of their tour, with dates in Berlin, Warsaw, Madrid, Gothenburg and Paris, wrapping up in Edinburgh this August. The North American leg wrapped earlier this year, with sold-out shows and setlists stacked with classics like “Thunderstruck”, “TNT”, and “You Shook Me All Night Long”.
