SICK ASS COB CD review posted over at www.PureGrainAudio.com! Check it out and repsect this band NOW NOW NOW!

Dude... after an 8 hour day at work and an 8 hour night tweaking the site, I'm not even allowed 1 typo? Maybe two... HARSH!

LMFAO!!!!!!

If this is where BODOM is going, seriously COUNT ME OUT.

Reading this review I saw an image in my mind's eye.

A man. A man so fucking trendy I want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon is standing near a TV screen that is playing In Your Face video over and over while he is screaming the words that appear in this review. The background is all colorful with those old Batman TV series "POW!" and "BANG!" type designs on the screen.

What about how they've changed their style since their first album. What about the fact that the keyboards have changed to a more "industrial" style sound and are not as in the fore-ground as the other reviews. What about how Alexi's vocal style as changed so you can understand each word rather then the mystery surrounding the cover of the album and wondering about what kind of sinister darkness he is talking about? How about how each song on this album is abit slower and paced out rather then their past songs and the solos are not at neckbreaking, hair-raising speeds that make your brain boggle over how fast Alexi's fingers have to be moving?

Does this count as a review?

@The Bringer: Yeah, gushing, gushing...:loco:
However, the reviewer IS aware of COB's earlier material. Or at least it seems so.

It disgusts me to no end to see how easily people are swayed into liking new things for no reason... it's equally gross however, how quickly a "fan" can turn on a band. If you like a group's music and within an album or two hate them, then you were never a fan, but merely someone who liked a particular album (just as retarded as a trend-follower).

Times change and so do artists. Musical sounds will evolve and consequently bands will put out different sounding CDs. What is crucial however is that you respect and realise how talented these artists actually are and appreciate their new music for what it has become, where it began, and the entire journey in between!

Stop being such 1 dimensional idiots and learn how to expand your mind and appreciate different sounding music! CHILDREN OF BODOM rule now and forever. Why you ask? ‘Cause they don’t give a crap what anyone thinks of their music, they hate the corporate music entity, and they will ALWAYS play what they want!

um no.
CoB used to play good metal.
Being able to shred like alexi isnt that special. Song writing always comes first. of course, the new CoB have dropped good song writing for "being heavy"

Thats fucking semantics. If you like one album, and dig that album you can call yourself a fan. That doesnt imply you need to enjoy every album and blindly follow the band. Fuck.

What is it called then when someone likes the first album, loves the second, loves the third, likes the fourth and kind of the fifth but thinks the band could do much better.

Am I still:

No. I am not. If I jumped on the AYDY bandwagon because I saw In Your Face on MTV2 or Headbanger's Ball or what ever the popular music channel is in the States. Then came here and bashed everyone who has an OPINION on the new album... Only Then I would be that.

I, in no way, attacked you personally. I did not call you retarded and I did not call you an idiot. I mearly gave you an example of my imagination and then asked a series of questions that a review SHOULD be addressing. Not the 'COMPLETE AWESOMENESS OF THE MOST SICKEST BAND EVER'.

Do you know who Bjork is? Do you know who Zen Cafe is? Do you know who Indica, Our Lady Peace, Aphex Twin, Madonna, Danko Jones, Sunlikestar, John Williams, Mozart and Bach are?

No? Quit being 1 dimensional then. They are among my favourite artists. I am NOT a "typical 1 dimensional metalhead" like you probably believe I am.

Three posts and an awesome fanboyism review shows me that you need to take a lesson or two in music. I have been studying it for nearly ten years. I have putten my heart and soul into listening, disecting and understanding different genres of music.

Thank you for your time and good night.
I have to go to work tomorrow.

If you are a bands fan, you will ALWAYS support the band, no matter if they make a bad album. If you are a fan, you will find good stuff in a bad album.

I don't accept that. I call myself a fan of many bands, yet I don't enjoy every CD. I still go to gigs, buy the odd but of merchandise etc, but that doesn't mean I have to like everything they put out. Thats nonsense.
