ARizona Hypocricy date looks doubtful

Well, arizona is keeping the arch enemy concert but it sounds like we are dropping the Hypocricy concert.

I don't know your individual town's promoters but you should learn the politics behind bringing a show to your town. It isn't simply just a band wanting to hit every town in the country.


Hypocricy, Arch enemy, or whomever is on tour has their booking agent set up the tour. They ask each individual local promoter for a certain amount. Some negotiations are made and if the price is agreed upon, the show is coming. The local promoter has to figure how many people will realistically show up in your town and the size of your various clubs. This helps figure out how much they will charge per ticket. There is some more stuff but this is the basics.

In our case, Hypocricy would not lower their price even after ARch enemy dropped off the tour. There is no way that the hypocricy tour would draw many people in arizona so the local promoters would lose alot of money. That is why that show isn't looking like it will happen here.

I would love to see hypocrisy ... however if they drop a bigger band they should lower the ticket price. Its like that tour waaaaay back in they GNR and Metallica .... it would be stupid to charge the same if one band dropped off.
I undertsand the bands have expensis ... but c'mon we have bills to.

true, but this booking agent for Hypocricy is being an idiot. The local promoters would have to put ticket prices high if they got this show or they would have to pay out of their pockets to the booking agent for the losses due to not having a large crowd.

Figures.... The way things have been going, within two years, there won't be any more shows in Phoenix period.

we get the same shit here in denver. we aren't gettin the hypocrsy one. we didnt get the crown either. same shit. promoter wouldnt pay themoney. i was going todrive to phoenix for that shwo too. iwas going to be in albequerque the day before to see marduk and then just go to phoenix. gay

Here is an update on Phoenix.

They have two shows in town on same night. One is the six feet under/skinless show and obviously the other one is Hypocricy and soilwork show.

The promoter bringing hypocricy wants to work with the promoter bringing six feet under as it would makes sense in an area that struggles to bring in a large crowd for one metal show let alone two.

That isn't going well as the six feet under promoters are being idiots.

It does look like hypocricy and soilwork is a go and it looks like it might only be 5 or so dollars.
