Hey, I's originally come from Hobart too! (Explains a bit don't it )
My family moved from Hobart to Canberra back in '86 and I's been here ever since, but I's still got family down there and I's like to get back ever couple of years to see how things are going?
Great place to be, except for most of the people (fuckin' hicks) but they have gotten a lot better in attitude as of late (they realised that yes, the world is round and things exist outside of that Septered Isle, just kiddin').
Hey Metalbite! How's the metal scene down in Tas at the moment. I's knows that ya'll got at least one fuckin caner of a band down there in the form of Psycroptic (MFTB 01 ruled 'cause of those guys, they blew everyone away! Something they can't do down in Tas without going to jail ) but are there any other bands down there that are good? What about places you can buy metal CDs and the like? Any good record stores or still just Sanity down there?

Man, as far as Metal stores in Hobart go there is absolutely none. The best selection of metal in Tassie is probably The Sony Centre in the city. Whilst obviously not having a ridiculously extensive selection of metal it still has a few good records.

The metal scene (barring Pyscroptic, of course) in Tassie consists of nothing; there is zip, nada, none.

My main contact with the metal scenes around the world is obviously through the metal webzine I write for and hefty contact with friends from labels in Europes. Promos and interviews, and the like keep me up to date, as I surely cannot rely on primitive Hobart.

Ah Sanur's not bad, but expensive! Hobart kicks arse! I love that place. My grandparents used to live in Howrah.

There was a metal shop called The Mosh Pit in Launceston. Is it still there? I couldn't find it when I was last over (a year ago), but then it was down an alley/arcade, so I might just have missed it.

Sanur when I lived there was cheap as chips. Howrah...only thing I know of in Howrah is the....(wait for it)....HOWRAH GARDEN CENTRE...specialising in lettuces and carrots.

Fucking hell man, who do you think I am? I would never go to Launceston, it has to be the crappest place in Australia, if not the world.
