Arsenal of Megadeth: New Megadeth DVD

On Gigantour in Montreal, the Drover brothers banged the 'deth catalog like a freebie from a Vegas hooker...(note to the slow: they were really really good).

I'm a buyer for this DVD.

Well, they did just put out the Anthrology DVD. they could combine the Return of the Killer A's DVD along with that and it would be slightly comparable
Dont take this the wrong way but the only real reason i put in my Return of the killer A's video is to watch the live performances with Joey back on the P.O.T. tour. Man that is badass! Charlies drums sound tight as fuck.

The point is, Megadeth have ALWAYS been about Dave Mustaine AND Ellefson. Although Mustaine always fired people just as the fans were getting to know them, Ellefson was always there. There was a solid backbone to the band, so it always felt like Megadeth no matter who was on guitar and drums. I absoloutely fucking LOVE the live DVD with Al Pitrelli on it, it's amazing and to me it's Megadeth.
But with Ellefson gone, it just seems like it's not Megadeth any more, it's just Dave Mustaine and it doesn't help that "The System Has Failed" is crap and Mustaine is now a total bible basher.

Have you seen them live now? This line up rivals the Rust in Peice era band. Megadeth was stale after Youthanasia and thank jeebus TSHF was released. It gives diehards like me hope. Sure, it was recorded using session performers - but it's the best album Mustaine's put out since Youthanasia.

So what if he found religion? He preaches nothing in his lyrics. He swears. He talks shit. That doesn't seem like much of a change to me.

Still, I'm willing to bet that the next album is a fucking masterpeice.

TSHF was a FANTASTIC album. Regardless, James McDonough, the new bassist for Megadeth, is apparently no longer in the band. No reason has been given yet

He preaches nothing in his lyrics? One of the songs on TSHF is a fucking prayer. :err: And the whole thing about wanting Dissection off some show he was playing at - that's just fucked coming from the guy that wrote "The Conjuring".
I don't see anything hopeful in TSHF, it's totally nondescript.

And in Scotland, a bible basher means the same thing as bible thumper, sorry!

originaly posted by Gregadeth:And what fucking bands do you like that still have ALL original members?

Reunited after a decade of no Lombardo

black sabbath?
I hope your joking, renuited after 2 decades of revovling door members. At one point Tony Iommi was the only original member in the band.

Even though I havn't bought an album by them in about 20 years, I'd say U2 are probley the longest running band with out a member change. And they just won 5 Grammys.

I'll save what little money I have for the Maiden "Dance of Death" dvd which will be out in the states on Feb 21st. http://www.ironmaiden.com/

Grow the fuck up and learn that you don't have to be completely hateful of all religion to listen to, play or be metal.

I'm not religious and even I understand this.
