I think it sounds awesome...!

I think on "Frail Words Collapse" the samples are cooler ... on the first listen it sounds a bit disgusting but this makes the sound of this album so unique!

But SoS is still one of the greatest sounding records...

the fusion kick sound on the Alesis D4 has gotten me close with the right eq and compression settings.
