Amen dude, I've been an MGS MANIAC since '02, and am just finishing up my 4th playthrough of MGS4 - I still feel it's the weakest story of the series, and I still don't quite get everything (SPOILER WARNING DING DING DING DING DING: if Ocelot/Naomi and Snake all actually wanted the same thing, to have that virus uploaded into GW and destroy the Patriots/Zero, why did Ocelot make Snake go through all that fucking hell to get to it, between all the FROG soldiers and the fucking microwave tunnel, rather than just holding Snake's hand and just taking him there himself?), but overall it's still a masterpiece, and Kojima is a true artist and brilliant man!

Honestly, though, I still think the original has by far the best story, writing, and performances! (and FUCK The Twin Snakes simply because they re-recorded all the dialog) Except for Liquid, he was kinda goofy

+1. The first MGS is the best and I would really like a reworked version for ps3. MGS4 is though one of the most impressive games I've played.

Who, Kojima? He's Japanese, cut him some slack! But I really wouldn't want the original MGS reworked; I only played a little of the Twin Snakes, but it was enough to recognize and hate the different music, different cinematics, and MOST IMPORTANTLY re-recorded voices (even if it was the same actors, it's the performances that matter), I just have such strong emotional attachment to every aspect of the original that I would never want it changed! (much like the blasphemy that was the "new features/scenes" in the Star Wars movies :Smug: )

Yeah man, the first one really pwns, I still have it for the PC and plan to play it soon again. The story is just so immense and the characters are great. The Sniper Wolf (or whatever she was called) is awesome.

For the record, though, I disagree with him, especially about the gameplay - I think it's fucking fantastic in this game, especially the gunplay! (though the only flaw is it could use a better cover system a la "Gears of War," but whatevs)

Bless Hideo-san! he did start out a bit weird, but that's okay as it is a BITCH for them to talk in english, both do very well.

There are only a few games out there that i really attach to, or really, really find interesting.. the MGS franchise is just legendary, the characters, the deep storylines, the gameplay, the music, damn the music!
Seriously, they can bring out a COD game or a gears of war game with 10 times the better graphics then the latest MGS game, i still wont find it as interesting as the MGS game,so much more depth and not just shoot the bad guys in a great looking game.. all due respect for COD and GOW though.

I was glad to hear that the konami studios are looking for more people to add for more MGS games, cool beans!
