it's very different from a compressor. they are both for dynamics control but they do very different things to the signals. transient designers allow you to "shape" the transients of drums by adding or decreasing attack and sustain

Thank's for the info I also agree on the ^ It's a Sturgis type mix so the guitars HAVE to be edited that way.
