Astral Sleep is a Finnish Metal band that plays "Atmospheric Ancient Doom Metal with space elements".
The new mCD "Angel" will be released through Solitude Productions during September. Preorders are already accepted.

Angel is a typical mCD, having more groundbreaking material and bigger experiments. Apart from Doom Metal, the album includes very straightforward influences from genres such as Death metal, Black metal, Progressive metal, Gothic music, etc... There are faster parts than ever before, but there are also intensive parts and sections that go beyond the imagination in sickness and darkness.
The title "Angel" is taken from the song that is often confused for being ours, since it has been uploaded to the internet with the name of the author as being "Astral Sleep". It is believed that the author was not even by that name in the first place. Even if it was, they never released anything else and have been dead for many years.
Thus, we are the one and only ASTRAL SLEEP and every other band trying to use that name are false. Many times we have been asked "Is Angel your song?". Now we can say "Yes".

In summer 2010, Astral Sleep has been working on the second full-lenght album, a follower for the 2008 debut "Unawakening". The current working title for the next album is "Visions". It will contain 5 unique tracks, that are darker and heavier than anything we have ever done before.
New website is on the works, but since our webmaster is drifting in darkness, it is impossible to say when it will be published.
