I have only recorded vox a couple times before.. this is my latest attempt at recording & mixing em.. just used a SM58, didn't even record in a dead room. think that had a big effect on the sound? there are some weird overtones to his screams every here and there. is that a performance thing, or could I EQ those out?
I've got a SM57 here too, and heard Lamb of God used it on some of their really old stuff for vox. wanna try it out next time I get together with this guy, except how am I supposed to keep pops and sibilance under control with that thing? no pop filter on it at all..
