"...it's missing!"
I've done a bit of digging to find clubs in Austin that would possibly book you.

Your best bet would be Emo's Austin, as they usually cater to the more indie/art bands (Blonde Redhead is playing there in October I believe). I suggest sending them an email or the like: http://www.emosaustin.com/

Another possible choice would be the Backroom, the only problem being that they usually host "FUcKing metAL!1 \m/" bands and might not pay any mind to artistic brilliance over popularity/heavy...ness.

Stubbs Bar-B-Q is an interesting place which every now and then books interesting bands.

These are a good starting 3; Austin has lots of clubs, but half soley cater to rap and country. I'll keep looking for possibilities.

I've always enjoyed the Hole in the Wall, but they'd have to make special arrangements considering the tiny stage.

but yeah, Emo's is like the place in both austin and houston

Indeed, a Houston show would be closer to me haha, but I honestly think that you would benefit from Austin as they have a much better art/indie scene. I've never been to Hole in the Wall, but from what I've read, they do book an array of acts.

the places in austin that we've contacted so far are emo's, red-eyed fly, beerland, the back room, room 710, red rum, and flamingo cantina... all with no reply at all, except for beerland who are already booked for that day. :(

i'm going to try calling emo's tomorrow to see what's up. *crossing fingers*

Indeed, I would love to see you all at either Emo's or the Backroom.

OH!! I almost forgot: The record store Waterloo in Austin puts on shows for rather underground indie bands from time to time. They, for the most part, have mostly art-type bands play, so it could possibly be beneficial to call them.
