I just watched the video on Vermiculatus. At first I felt dirty, and defiled, then that was replaced with the bizarre euphoria you get after an hour vomiting.

Nice one. :) I especially appreciate the fact it was funded in part by Northern Ireland's Art Council. Finally some tax money not going towards something worthwhile, unlike John Prescott's country residences

another on the long, long, looong list of why Ireland is one of the most amazing countries on this fucking planet and I hope to live there some day.

great, cheres mate
thats the first response i've had to the movie
since I finished that part about a year ago I keep forgetting is on there
you got the promo already??
we won't have ours till the end of the week at least :erk:

actually the arts council were cool about it, I don't think they watched it...haha or even listened to the cd, when I filed the finished work with my report
they were more concerned with my 'dubious' reciepts, luckily they didn't ask why we bought a vocal PA for our rehersal room for an instrumental recording...etc etc

the real anti-establishmentanariasm was that the government flicked me onto the new deal for being unemployed too long and I found a work placement at my mates media design place. so instead of doing the usual painting + decorating shit (which was the only other option they gave me) i was mixing noise and animating that movie  fuck the system!

.......

for the ireland /northern ireland thing
its all bollocks really
its certainly 2 diferent countries but music wise these days its one island
its about the only unity there is

that said the republics arts council would have had my application in the bin by the second paragraph

Yeah, the promo arrived a few days ago. I just listened to the CD, and I think it will take a while to absorb properly. I really like the contrast between the two halves, and the second half also made me feel violated, but in a good way. I'm very fond of that kind of deconstructued electronica/noise. The metal half also left a good first impression, congrats.

Isn't there a new deal or something specifically for musicians?

I'm to old for it, I think the limit is 27 or some shit, besides i'm not a musician...I'm a drummer  plus my council area (north down) s fucked
Pete + mick scald have both done music technology courses through the new deal, i got the choice of decorating or comunity work which was cleaning graffiti etc. you know the kind of shit they give to crims as community service...

take your time with the music...but I'm glad its seeping into you
