Hey guys,
I wonder if one of you have either done this before, or maybe know and have experience with recording your voice, on top of a back ground song?

I am making a presentation for my mom's 60's birthday next month, and I need to be able to play a background song, in addition to talk over it at times (and fade the song to the background) and then make it loud again when I don't talk...

I am making the presentation in KeyNote (iWork) which is like PowerPoint (but IMO better... ) but the functions are similar..

Is there any software you guys know I should get?
Whats the best for this?

Thanks in advance :)

record the voice, mix with the background music, slice the pieces, put the sliced audio in the slides(?)

are you going to be talking in real time or recording your voice and letting it play through? cause if so tell me the song and tell me the times when your not talking ill just automate/fade the volume levels in Cubase.

you MIGHT be able to automate in garage band i haven't messed with that program in a few years though.

ahhhh I just figured it out!!

Garage Band has an option called Podcast that allows you to do it.. I didn't see it before.. that option is on the bottom on the list and totally missed it...

I have a lot of learning to do...

ShadowsWithin- Thanks for the help! I'll keep you posted if I'd need you to help me with it :) Thanks for the offer!
