anyone use one of these before? i've read some good reviews but haven't actually gotten firsthand accounts from anyone.

I haven't used one in a full recording but I had training with AT a few months back and we did blind tests with the D6, ATM250DE, RE20 and D112. I still prefered the D6 on kick but the ATM250DE sounded great on bass.

Best thing is to demo it yourself to know if you'll like it.

i have an at 250 which is the dynamic version without the condenser and it can get bad ass bass drum, bass sounds. it also sounds good on guitar when combined with a 57 or 609
