Im a big fan of the Skeptic society and magazine. In this issues eSkeptic they have a good read on how we have snake oil salesmen in the audio industry. Its easy to have these kind of things happen in an industry when the product is subjective. I know I was misinformed about the whole 192k / 96k.

Good read take a look.

But man, didntcha know, recording at 192KHz makes your bottom end cleaner and tighter:loco:

Just took a very quick look but I want to read all it later. The article says Ethan Winer is the writer. Is this the same Ethan Winer as in the Acoustics expert?

But yes, in all seriousness, great article.
And yes, Ethan the Real Traps dude.

I'm not even a quarter into this article and I already feel totally justified in being proud that I do not label myself an audiophile.
It's pretty much a euphemism for "cunt who believes everything he is told and therefore spends stupid amounts of money for no audible benefit."
I'd rather the be the "cunt with a limited budget and equipment who truly appreciates every second he spends listening to music."

but yeah, cool article so far \m/

also i watched eraserhead again a couple of nights ago, what a flick

He knows what he is talking about, however he is a strange dude. Loves his cats!
