Australia can go to hell

It is because the actual sales they base this chart on is only through places such as Sanity and some HMV, plus not every store of these is included. They don't include the ones that are sold anywhere else etc. etc.
The record company know only the true sales figure and then they don't release this info unless it is like an astonishing amount.
So don't believe sales charts folks.

That albums sucks, the production is AWFUL!

The live stuff and demos from that album are about 100 times better! :D

On Through The Night rocks! It's no High N Dry but it still kills!

Spiff: I heard samples from every song, and I absolutely hated the style of them. Why does Joe Elliot sound like Rod Stewart now??? Sure they may be good pop albums, but I don't particularly like pop albums.

Damn straight. I also heard that some charts figures are worked out based on how many copies of an album particular stores order in, and not the actual sales figures. Any truth in that?

Yeah that is true. Albums hit the charts often before they are on shelves.

And what Xena said is right too. Certain music stores are called "Chart stores". Unless a store is a chart store, its sales don't count towards the ARIA chart. These include Sanity, HMV, Target, Myer, and not much else. Brash used to be the main chart store.

I suppose I shouldn't be so harsh - at JB on Monday "X" was number 10. Dunno if that's JB Australia-wide or just the Brisbane store.

I hope they tour Australia for this album - hell, I might go to a few of the gigs!

Oh, and Troops - have you heard "Retroactive"? Great album there.
