It's hard to take this thing seriously when Transcending Mortality and The Mirrors Eye aren't even nominated for a single category let alone making a clean sweep

Surely TM should at least be honoured with a lifetime achievement award?

Hi All,

Noting that this isn't a standard gig we will not be announcing set times at all. Any of the bands could be opening and or closing the show.

Doors will open at 5pm and the first 20 people through the door will receive an Australian Metal pack including:
CD's
Merch Items
Discount Vouchers

We plan on making this as least Awards like as possible, No Seatiing, No Formalities, and the Awards themselves will happen in small bursts throughout the show.

I believe a lot of bands should have been listed as finalists but since they did not submit or were not active during the period then they just simply weren't eligible.

What would be way better would be if they had the bands announcing the awards and the winners through their songs - so they'd have to rework their lyrics to contain the winners, the nominations and some amusing banter all into their old song.
Eg 'Arkon The Grave Robber' by Sadistik Exekution:
"He's Arkon the grave robber
Fukken Arkon the grave robber
And you know there's a fukken winner
Best guitarist goes to that fukken guy!"
