Why would it be essential ? Are you into architecture or mechanical engineering ?
My useful advice : stay cool when it doesn't do what you want, or creates bugs
EDIT : aaaah, Autocad electrical. I was using another thing in my electronics engineering school, but it must be the same story : take your time when you place objects and create links, it's way too easy to think something is connected when it's not for the software and then it's a pain in the ass to find the source of the problem.
aaah, autocad.. i did use this programm like 15years ago, it was such a pita…
