Axewound - new supergroup ft Bullet for My Valentine members

I never cared for Bullet For My Valentine, but I'm a big Cancer Bats fan. When I heard Liam from CB was doing something with Matt from BFMV I thought it would be really weird. Liam is one of my favorite screamers in hc, right behind Banon and Drew from Stray From The Path, so I wasn't really sure what to expect.



I have to say, I wish the production was a bit more "raw & real" and less "fake" (Machine mixed it, so that it explains why it sounds so plasticy) for this style, but I really love this song. Matt's clean vocals make the song really catchy. It kind of reminds me of As I Lay Dying/All That Remains, but done much much better. Not sure how well this kind of stuff would go over here, but I see a few people post on bands like this (like in the A7X thread). I will definitely check out their CD, which apparently dropped last month.

Oh really? Because I was expecting Poison The Well and Comeback Kid covers in the style of Ignite.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea this was out. I love this shit! I think BFMV have some of the best riffs going in the genre - and outside of it for that matter. It's hard not to at least bounce your head a little when you hear some of those stop-riffs...unless you're drinking your haterade.

I'm spinning the record now on Spotify and I'm genuinely enjoying this! Not like, the best thing released this year, but it's fun!
