Ayreon - Into the Electric Castle

I ordered it on Amazon along with Everygrey's Recreation Day. I got Recreation Day 2 weeks ago and recieved a notification that they would be unable to ship the Ayreon Cd until the beginning of next month. I've been told by others to cancel the order and get it from LazerCd.com, but I figured I'd let teh anticipation grow. You can bet your balls that I'll make my next prog order at LaserCd.com, though :hotjump:

Use The End Records. When I ordered it, I got it 3 days later. They have free shipping in the US too. And most of their CDs are only $10-12. Special ones (like double discs, limited editions, etc.) can be up to....gasp....$15! They're cheap, fast, and reliable.

You won't be disappointed with ItEC. It is soooo amazing.

Woah I didn't even know it. I started to write for www.progvisions.net so I gave up my website. I know it sucks but I had to do it if I wanted to write for them. Plus I get free promos, free tickets and a long etc of cool shit. If anyone wants a certain article I can send it to you, I have my whole webpage saved in my HD.

You can check my new reviews @ Pv.net

Man, this album is brilliant; I'm hooked on it. I got it a year or so ago, and recentely I haven't been able to get enough. Such a cool concept, and so well done...
I ordered it a while ago from Amazon and am still waiting for it to show up... may end up canceling it and getting through some other channel.

A guy turned me on to the CD a few months ago (I think someone I auditioned). Some incredible music on there!

The End doesn't seem to have it in stock... oh, well, I ordered a copy from Amazon marketplace instead.

See my 1st post above. I've got the same friggin deal going on.

BTW - is your screen name a Robert Lumley (Necroscope) reference?

Yes and no... it's actually a reference to a name for a character I play in a medievalist organization I am a part of... and the character is Romanian (Wallachian) and the name was sorta inspired by the name from Lumley... but the character's not a vampire, he's a musician!

I agree it's an AMAZING disc. Although most people rave about Ayreon's recent stuff because of Bruce Dickinson, Michael Romeo, Russel Allen, etc., I think their first two are still their best. The Final Experiment and Into the Electric Castle. Both are awesome.

Star One was in my opinion the best disc from Arjen Lucassen since the release of Into the Electric Castle. Dan Swano's vocal performance on it was godly, and it was his heaviest work to date.

Awesome band. I look forward to the new one with Devin Townsend, Mike Akerfeldt and Mike Baker on it. Not to mention James Labrie and the others of course.

Actual Fantasy was released before Into The Electric Castle.

The Human Equation will kick some tremendous ass. You people should make sure to download the trailer vids (includes lots of the music of course) and the various samples they have up there.

Into the Electric Castle is pure genius. The melodies and rhythms are amazing. I'd say the album is near perfect. The narration can be kind of over the top at times, but the singing and the use of voices is excellent.

I am really looking forward to the new one. Devin is one of my favorite musicians, and James is a great singer - not to mention all the other talent on there. I downloaded the trailer and it made me even more excited. May 24th seems so far away!

Arjen is such a talented musician. Everything he does sounds so effortless. I think, “why didn’t I think of this!” He has the mark of a true writer.

I just ordered the Star One disc. SiRo is always raving about it to me. If I like it, I'll get the live one next. That's on DVD too isn't it?

ok, today I borrowed the two Ayeron albums our drummer has, which are "The Dream Sequencer" and "Flight of the Migrator". I'm on the third track on TDS now and I'm liking it. :D

SiRo -

I already have TUM Part 1 and 2. Part 1 is my favorite thus far. The 2nd one has more "big name" musicians, but the 1st one just has a better song writing approach IMO. I also like it for it's very heavily influenced Pink Floyd sound. :D

I wish you had of told me that sooner about Star One. I already have it. I ordered it 2 or 3 weeks ago. I got the regular CD - I thought the DVD was a separate purchase. I didn't realize that there was a limited edition that came with both. :(

Fuck Fuck Fuck!!!!! I had ordered Into The Elecric Castle from CDnow.com on March 1st and was told the shipment would be delayed until April. Fine, no big deal. Now I jsut found out that it's been pushed back to late May, so I cancelled the order in disgust. I then went to LaserCd.com but they only have the Migrator CD's. The End records doesn't have it either. I tried the Argen Lucassen site but all I find thre is a link to European site that sells only in Eurodollrs. Where the hell do I go to find this?!?
