I have been a reader of Ultimate Metal for years. I joined a couple of years back and never really posted to much, just browsing mostly. I'm an old school fan that got his first taste in metal back in the early 80's with the Iron Maiden single Run to the Hills. Hooked ever since. I'm a fan of guitar shredders and love to hear a fretboard get incinerated. I'm a fan of Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Yngwie (of course), tons of 80's metal and most thrash metal from the old school and some of the new school. Recently started to listen to Symphony X and have been blown away. Can't believe that I have never give them a shot. Rediscovery can be a good thing. Anyway, gonna try to be a little more active and help keep metal alive!
