hey does anybody know how to play say effects or synth live when you dont have a synth player. like we came as Romans has there effects backtracked how do you do it?

Two mono signals. Click track >left Synth>right sent to a stereo splitter. Left goes to the drummer, right goes to the front of house. BOOM!

You know what I been trying to get around is doing stereo backtracks + click so 3 outputs live but without using a laptop/macbook with external soundcard (multi outputs) I though of this, havebt tried it but want to. So make the audio a dvd format, click centre channel and backtracks stereo, and out the dvd player only send left and right outputs to desk and headphone out the dvd player for the drummer to here all 3 signals.
What you think?

so if you do that what will the drummer hear just the click or he will hear synth cause im the drummer in my band

You can mix whatever you want into the mono signal of the drummers mix if you want, but honestly you should be able to play just fine to a click and be able to hear the monitor on stage too if there is one.

You can either route your metronome to track and record while its playing (metronome setup) or some programs like Audacity can generate audio click tracks for you (I've only read about this though)

Hope that helps

only the drummer???
wouldn't it be easier if everyone was playing to the click?
or at least tighter!?
