From their MySpace official site:

DEATH ANGEL have released the following statement in regards to the departure of longtime drummer Andy Galeon:
“As some of you may have already heard, DEATH ANGEL's long time drummer and original member Andrew Galeon has decided that it is time for him to move on from the band. While we are sad to see him go, we wish him nothing but success. Not only has he been an integral part of DEATH ANGEL from day one, but he's also family and a friend and we will miss him. All the best to you, Brother.
As for the future of DEATH ANGEL, THE SHOW GOES ON! Old friend and long time fixture of the Bay Area metal scene, Will Carroll (SCARECROW, OLD GRANDAD, VICIOUS RUMORS, etc.), will be handling the drum duties for the upcoming local shows in June and the Summer Madness Tour in Europe with KATAKLYSM and KEEP OF KALESSIN. Will's been jamming with us for over a month now and is tearing it up! We look forward to hitting the stage with him very soon. We’ll be performing songs from ‘Frolic…’ and ‘Act III’ that we haven’t played live since back in the day so prepare for a dose of some serious old school thrash!
Thank you all for your continued support over the years. See you on the road this summer!”[/SIZE]

Now I feel pretty jaded regarding the band. As much as I like a lot TAOD and KS, first Gus Pepa didn't joint the band for the reunion, then Dennis Pepa left and now Andy Galeon :erk:. We'll see what comes next but it's lie 2/5 of DA by now...

Next thing you know they will change their name to Megadeth.

That was low, funny but low :p. The worst part is that actually the new DA albums are IMO way better than their second and third releases, I can't say the same about Megadeth :erk:

retaining the original singer & a guitarist makes it easier to open minded about the future imo

God who would have thought this statement would be pretty accurate 18-20 years ago?!

Scary, isn't it? o_O I guess that times do change like it or not.
Who would have predict "Nostradamus" back in 1984 (not him for sure)? Who would have thought that Bruce Dickinson will sound better now live that in 1984? Who would have thought Metallica selling out in 1986? Who would have predicted Sharon busting everybody's balls in 1978?

Casinos should take long time bets on music industry, could be a good gambling.

I don't agree with that opinion. Act III is by far DA's crowning moment, and TSHF, on it's own, completely blows away the last 2 DA albums. The Art of Dying was ok, but I thought the last one was horrid. I have not seen this band take a step forward direction-wise since they released Act III.

I used to love Megadeth, but I can't stand listening to Dave's whiny ass singing now. He was much better before he tried being a "singer", same story with Hetfield.
