Awesome!!! These guys were amazing the last time I saw them and Mac even had a cold. I can't wait to see them again. They are another band that I love everything they have done. Great choice!!!

This year is going to be AWESOME!!!

Why would they move up to co-headliner? They haven't done anything since they played last.

Plus Critical Energy (the Live CD/DVD mentioned above) has footage from their ProgPower III apperance!!! :)

Awesome! Can't wait to see these guys and I agree, this is shaping up to be the best PP yet. Also, I just got the limited edition of Threshold's Subsurface with a bonus track and the Threshold DVD from the Dynasty Metal Music closing sale and looks like they still have some available as it is still on their site (www.dynastymetalmusic.com) so get them and check them out.

For some reason I have never been able to get into them, and I have two albums. Which one in the opinion of you guys is the best one of all? They definitely deserve another chance, and I'm looking forward to once again check them out.

I believe this is a solid choice, and lots of people are happy. Maybe until the fest comes I'll be a Threshold fan too.

Rock the fuck on. I think KimK and I are psychic, btw. ;)

Hey, I want some credit, too! Here is my post from Sept of this year:

Okay, here's my proposed PP. My rules were:
  • no more than three repeaters (although that rule isn't really in place anymore)
  • Not just picking my personal favorite bands, but picking ones that would be realistic and affordable
  • Picking a mix of Prog and Power
  • Leaving a spot or two blank, since Glenn usually comes up with something new and different
Virgin Steele - 5th - Power
Threshold - 4th - Prog
Redemption - 3rd - Prog
Falconer - 2nd - Power
Unknown Prog band - 1st

Sonata Arctica - 5th - Power
Lana Lane - 4rd - Prog
Unknown Third band - Power
Wolverine - 2nd - Prog
Cloudscape - 1st - Power

To my not-very-objective eyes, this looks like an affordable mix of prog (5 of each). I don't know if it would have a "WOW" factor, but it does have some bands that have been often requested (Redemption, Sonata, Wolverine).

Okay, I screwed up on the slot for Virgin Steele, and I somehow picked Cloudscape instead of Communic, but otherwise I am right there (if you include Raintime and Firewind as my 'unknown' bands) ! :p

Awesome!
I knew there was a reason I listened to Subsurface like 5 times last week!
This year's line-up is shaping up to be awesome!

I can't wait to find out the other headliners.

They haven't done anything in the sense that they aren't a bigger act now than they were when they last played PP. They haven't toured the US, been on MTV2, made the leap to a bigger label, etc. etc. etc.
