Here's a band I recorded recently.
Its got 6 tracks of rhythm guitars.
Gibson SG into a pod Xt live using a tubescreamer patch as a boost, into a Randall with those changeable pre's and a Line 6 Cab. Single 57 roughly between the dustcap and centre.

Bass was recorded with a T bone RB 100. It was a small BEHRINGER combo with a bass boss me 50 in front.

Drums are all the miced kit, no samples. They didn't track to a click they tracked scratch bass and guitars along with the drummer for timing.
Used my Firepods on everything.
Kick was also miced using a D6 and my Marshall 2X12 cab as a sub kick.

Leave me know what ye think! It's the mix I've been happiest with so far, still far from perfect though

They're an Irish Doom metal band called Brigantia.

I like the vibe of the mix, but it needs a bit of help.

Lose some 400-500hz in the drums and guitars, it will help clean up the mix. You can get a bit of a presence boost on those guitars, too.

Seems to be a problem area for me- last few mixes I've done I've been torn between heaviness and clarity, those are some of the frequencies I've been mulling over. I've already given them their mix and they're really happy with it but I'm gonna play around with those and see if I can make it better.

Think I squashed it a bit too hard too- I can hear some pumping when the first clean vox comes in but they asked for it to be loud!

Work computer speakers, but from what I can tell: I'd stick a bit more highs on the snare. Guitars sound good. Definitely some pumping going on.
