Does someone know, what is the idea behind the bandname ? Nevermore......?

AFAIK it's from a poem written by E.A.Poe called "the raven". i didnt read it so ican't tell you more than the verse "and quoth the raven, nevermore" or soemthing like that!

Nevermore grunge or something. Just metal!

I heard they used to introduce themselves as "Sanctuary is Nevermore" kind of a fun play on words. I don't know if it is true, but I read it somewhere.

I could be totally wrong but I think the name comes from a TROUBLE song called "Black Shapes Of Doom." The term "nevermore" is a lyric and mentioned in the song. But it could be from the Edgar Allen Poe story "The Raven" when he says "quoth the raven nevermore". By the way, I think I read something about Poe liking halluicinogenics and that he liked taking opium. Read Poe's "The Telltale Heart", its some pretty interesting stuff.
