Just finished recording my bands next song but I can't seem to get the guitar leads to sound right on that chug part. Anyone have any ideas? Also any criticisms on anything else would be excellent!

Recording vocals tomorrow but I just wanted to see what anyone thinks of this so far.

What's weird about it? The high mids? Basically it's TSE X30 and an impulse matching my Bugera 333xl since I didn't have my other amp around. I think it came out kinda cool for this mix and the past few songs, it really cuts through the mix. It sounds terrible for leads though.

I have a lot of trouble getting a guitar tone to sound good so this is kinda standard for me to use that.

The drums sound like they have too much resonance and the frequency of the guitars does sound kind of weird but its a good mix. Good playing too dude.

yeah I would use more delay and not reverb on the leads and maybe cut some of the high mids out. I think the leads sound pretty good though. The whole mix is actually pretty cool. I have a problem getting the leads to fit for me as well.

Yeah the guitars do sound a little nasally if that makes sense. I just listened and it's somewhere in the 800 range, I'll post a new mix up with new leads too in a minute. The drums might have a little too much verb on them but I think they sound alright.

Thanks for the criticisms so far guys!

Is that mix any better? I'm not 100% done with mixing it and all because I still need to work in the vocals so little things like the bass drops and some bass screw ups (that guitar fade in at the middle of the song) will be fixed.
