Bands similar to Empyrium and In the Woods...

I'm looking for black metal bands that have a similar, romantic aesthetic to them. Albums like Empyrium's "Songs of Moors and Misty Fields", In the Woods... "Heart of the Ages" and "Omnio."

Any recommendations?

You've got your heart in the right place. It seems like something would come to mind but I'm drawing blanks in my head.

You might like early to mid Primordial, particularly Imrama, but all their early stuff is worth checking out.



Fen has some stuff along those lines as well, I haven't given their second album a good listen but their debut has a few parts that are horrible, but for the most part it's great.



If you ever get into more folky stuff like the other half of Empyrium's catalog let me know, I have a decent selection of that style.
