Don't want to start a squabble but...
Pitchshifter aren't 'nu' anything. Their first album was released 10 years ago and they have been doing industrial, experimental type stuff since, and if you keep doing something for long enough, it's bound to come into fashion sooner or later...
And who decides what 'true' metal is anyway?
There are certain genres that come under the heading metal that I'm not really into, but you can't dislike a band because someone has put it in a box, or because it's in fashion. I think you have to give stuff a go, you may be surprised and like it (not just Pitchshifter, but generally).
I'm looking forward to Bloodstock because there is a diverse mix of bands, and maybe I'll see some that I wouldn't have checked out myself, and maybe I'll like them.
There are enough people bitching about metal, without us doing it to each other.
On the other hand, everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and I respect yours.
nuff said.
