Get One Minute Silence to play best UK live band, also they'll never play any decent UK festivals because mean fiddler banned them from any of their venues/festivals.

Also get Pitchshifter to play I've seen these 3 times now they're brilliant, especially when they play stuff from Infotainment and Desentialised.

Well at the risk on enraging Parrot by voting for a Nottingham band (sorry love, couldn't resist!) I agree with the Pitchshifter suggestion. I've seen them many times, most recently last week, and they are fantastic live.

I don't think Pitchshifter or One Minute Silence are suitable for Bloodstock. Let's just for once, have proper METAL bands at a festival because that's what I am paying my money for. I'm sick of nu-metal and rap etc. The bands so far confirmed are great - true metal - so let's keep it that way. Also, I hope Area 54 will be on the bill, THEY are true metal. Nu-metal etc. get coverage in Kerrang and Rock Sound etc. and always get on the Kerrang festivals like Lost Weekend when our bands don't even get a look in. Please organisers, listen to the people.

I have nothing against Nott's bands, especially PSI.
It just seemed to be mostly Nott's bands at the time of my rant, but don't worry 'cause the normal(ish) happy(ish) Parrot is back and feckin' misog poo face Parrot has disappeared!
Anyway must go, got to be up @ 02:30 ugh.:)

Don't want to start a squabble but...
Pitchshifter aren't 'nu' anything. Their first album was released 10 years ago and they have been doing industrial, experimental type stuff since, and if you keep doing something for long enough, it's bound to come into fashion sooner or later...

And who decides what 'true' metal is anyway?

There are certain genres that come under the heading metal that I'm not really into, but you can't dislike a band because someone has put it in a box, or because it's in fashion. I think you have to give stuff a go, you may be surprised and like it (not just Pitchshifter, but generally).

I'm looking forward to Bloodstock because there is a diverse mix of bands, and maybe I'll see some that I wouldn't have checked out myself, and maybe I'll like them.
There are enough people bitching about metal, without us doing it to each other.
On the other hand, everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and I respect yours.
nuff said.

Well, I was only giving my opinion, it's just that I don't really like Pitchshifter so I guess I wouldn't want to see them. But hopefully everyone will get something they want.

Awwww, Parrot, I was only teasing.

Stephen, I DO know what you mean to be fair. I just love Pitchshifter, even if they are not quite the style of metal I usually listen to.
