So what does anyone use to muffle the kick drum? Pillow, rolled up towel, Remo muffling ring? I knew a guy who stretched a sock across the drum underneath the head.

I actually got some soundproofing foam and cut so it fits perfect and touches front and back head and coats the inside of drum.
It sounds pretty good but i usually just mix samples for kick drum when i record

I buy the aquarian super kick 2 head and don't put anything in my bass drum. Maybe some want more mufflage but to me this is more than enough.
