Bass instructional books

Since I've been getting into bass of late, I'm looking for an instructional book to work through, probably a bit more advanced than a beginner book as my background in guitar has me with a head start. Probably something along the lines of Guthrie Govan's guitar books, but for bass, covering the more fusion, funk, jazz side of things preferably. Any ideas?

I think Troy Tipton had a video out a few years ago... and damn if he's not retarded good at bass

Yeah I reckon I've seen that floating around. Probably after a book as well though that I can sit on my music stand and practice from.

Wooten's got a transcription book out, Patitucci has a few, and there are some really good Jaco books out there. When I got into bass more, I spent some time just learning and playing along with a lot of motown and r&b stuff...great way to learn to groove properly.

Damn right it is, motown has the best bass players that deserve way more credit.

I found a transcription of Marcus Miller's bass line on 'Run For Cover', starting to learn that has made improvements on my slap bass definately.
